Maruti Suzuki is geared up to unveil its first universal strategic battery electric vehicle (BEV), the e-Vitara, on August 26th. The major highlight of the inauguration is PM Narendra Modi, who is all set to wow the world with the strategic export of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, the first BEV, despite facing continuous trade tariff threats from US President Donald Trump. The Prime Minister has already acknowledged and admired the growth of India's automobile exports while speaking at the Economic Times World Leaders Forum in Delhi.
The inauguration will take place at the Maruti Suzuki Motor plant, located in Hansalpur, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. As per the official reports, the vehicle will be exported to major European and Asian markets. The move will accelerate the electric vehicle export to almost 100 countries across the world.
What’s special about Maruti Suzuki’s e-Vitara?
The first electric vehicle by the company, e-Vitara, is reported to be a premium model offering 426 km of range with different charging options. The car is designed with technology-driven features and comes in different color options.

The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara supports various charging methods to suit everyone’s requirements. The best part is that it can easily be charged through a standard wall socket AC that’s fitted in most houses. Although it’s a little slower than usual, it works well for overnight charging. For fast charging, one can rely on an 11 KW AC fast charger.
However, the car is capable of supporting DC fast charging, which works at compatible fast charging stations installed in public places. When it comes to the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara range, it offers 426 km on a single charge.
